How do I use the Wordle solver?
Put each green letter in the box for the position where it was correct. Put each yellow letter in the box where it turned yellow: the solver then knows the letter is in the word, but not in that position. Type the grey letters in the bottom field. The list of possible words gets shorter with every letter you enter.
Which word should I guess next?
The three words marked with a star are the strongest next guesses. The solver counts how often each letter appears in the words that are still possible, and ranks highest the words with the most common letters you have not tested yet. If the guess is wrong, a word like that rules out the most options.
Does the solver know today's Wordle answer?
No. It works only from the letters you enter and from its own English word list of more than 12,000 five-letter words. Every game has its own list of answers, so the solver may show a word your game does not accept, or miss one that it does.
