About WordAssist

WordAssist is a free helper for word games. Enter your letters and see straight away which words you can play in Wordfeud or Scrabble, or which words still fit in Wordle. The site works in twelve languages and you never need to sign up.

Who makes WordAssist

WordAssist is built and maintained by A Simple Plan VOF, a small Belgian company. The aim is a fast helper with no account and no cluttered screens.

Where the words come from

We do not write our own dictionary. Each language uses a public word list, credited at the bottom of every page. For English that is the open-source list an-array-of-english-words.

Wordfeud and Scrabble each use their own dictionaries, and Wordfeud's English (US) and English (International) lists differ again. So the helper may show a word your game rejects, or miss one it accepts. Check a word in the game before you rely on it.

How scores are calculated

The points next to each word are Wordfeud letter values, without bonus squares. What a move really scores depends on the board. The full table is on Wordfeud letter values.

What the tool does not do

The helper does not play for you or look at your game. Your letters are processed in your own browser and are not sent to us. More on this in the privacy policy.

Independent

Wordfeud is a trademark of Bertheussen IT, Scrabble of Mattel and Hasbro, and Wordle of The New York Times. WordAssist is not affiliated with or endorsed by any of them.
